AWS vs Azure vs GCP: Which Cloud Certification Should You Get First?
Cloud certifications are one of the highest-ROI credentials in Indian IT hiring right now — but AWS, Azure, and GCP aren't interchangeable. Here's how each maps to real hiring patterns.
AWS — the default first choice
AWS holds the largest market share in India across IT services, startups, and product companies alike. If you have no strong signal pulling you toward a specific ecosystem, the AWS Solutions Architect Associate path gives you the broadest job search.
Azure — the right call for Microsoft-stack enterprises
If you're already working in a company running heavily on Microsoft technologies (.NET, SharePoint, Dynamics), or targeting banking/government-linked enterprises, Azure Administrator (AZ-104) is often the more directly useful certification, since your existing environment already runs on it.
GCP — the strongest fit for data and AI-forward teams
Google Cloud has a smaller footprint overall but a disproportionately strong presence in data engineering, analytics, and AI-forward organizations, largely due to BigQuery and Google's AI tooling.
